!!!!!!!!!!with PRAIRIE, LARRY, JOHN, AND JESSE!!!!!!!!!!

6/12/95 TR - LOS ANGELES, CA HOUSE OF BLUES 2 CDS SOUNDBOARD (EDITED DEAD-AIR)   72:50/27:41
Track List: CD ONE: IF NOT NOW, WHEN?. HAMMER IN MY HEART. NO.1 LOWEST COMMON DENOMINATOR. FAMILY VALUES. TABLES WILL TURN. BLACK AND WHITE. ESPRESSO. THE INDIVIDUALIST. MYSTIFIED->BROKE DOWN AND BUSTED.

CD TWO: BELOVED INFIDEL. CAST THE FIRST STONE. WOMAN'S WORLD. TEMPORARY SANITY. FASCIST CHRIST. WORLDWIDE EPIPHANY.

Note: the band is playing a very early gig so there are many mistakes and loose vocal response but nevertheless it is a clear document of the start of the rockin' individualist band.  there was very little rehearsal and a lot of west coast shows would be booked in smaller warm up venues for the first few nights. this was done before this show but they were still pretty unaccustomed to playing as a unit together at this point. sound is quite clear. thanks istvan.

7/16/95 TR - POUGHKEEPSIE, NY THE CHANCE "Woodstock Plugged In"  WDST FM   73:56
Track List: BLACK AND WHITE. NO 1 LOWEST COMMON DENOMINATOR. CAST THE FIRST STONE. MYSTIFIED->BROKE DOWN AND BUSTED. ESPRESSO (ALL JACKED UP). FASCIST CHRIST. WORLDWIDE EPIPHANY. HAMMER IN MY HEART.

BONUS: 7/23/95 SOUNDCHECK PHILADELPHIA, PA TRACODARO - JAM. FAMILY VALUES.
Note: this radio broadcast sounds real hot...show is edited of course. The philly b-cast has some jam on it but is an audience and the quality is not as good as the main show...but the jam is way cool. all in all a top notch single cd from the guitar oriented tours of '95-'96. good score from istvan....thanks.

 ^^^^^^^^^^FM!-----ROCKIN' INDIVIDUALIST TOUR w/ PRAIRIE PRINCE^^^^^^^^^^

7/18/95 TR-i -NEW BRITIAN, CT THE STING 2 CDS FM SOURCE    55:55/62:11
Track List: CD ONE: BLACK AND WHITE. FAMILY VALUES. IF NOT NOW, WHEN?. HAMMER IN MY HEART. TABLES WILL TURN. NO. 1 LOWEST COMMON DENOMINATOR. ESPRESSO. THE INDIVIDUALIST.

CD TWO: MYSTIFIED->BROKE DOWN AND BUSTED. WOMAN'S WORLD. TEMPORARY SANITY. FASCIST CHRIST. BLACK MARIA. WORLDWIDE EPIPHANY.

BONUS TRACK: JESSE (OFFICIAL PROMO VERSION)
Note: this rockin' show from the I tour was the only radio broadcast that happened.  the feed is a little flat from the board but the clarity is wonderful. this is as hard-rockin' as todd had gotten in tears and a prelude to the power TRio tour of 2000. the bonus track is clear.... the cassette promo version of the tune which was recorded for 2nd wind but left off (according to tr) not because of the F word but because he felt it didnt fit since it was an acoustic guitar and not a band song....ya gotta have jesse!

w/ BELOVED INFIDEL

8/28/96 TR - WASHINGTON DC THE BAYOU 2 CDS AUDIENCE   71:42/73:33
Track List: CD ONE: BLACK AND WHITE. SECRET SOCIETY. THE INDIVIDUALIST. HAMMER IN MY HEART. FASCIST CHRIST. BLACK MARIA. FAMILY VALUES. CLICHE'. BELOVED INFIDEL.

CD TWO: TABLES WILL TURN. ONE WORLD. NO. 1 LOWEST COMMON DENOMINATOR. WORLDWIDE EPIPHANY. BONUS TRACKS: 11/1/97 LA HOUSE OF BLUES PRE-SHOW INTERVIEW (WWW) AND 6/18/95 OSAKA FM-802 INTERVIEW.
Note: this show was transferred because the quality of it is superb but the vocal performance was suffering. cliche is probably the worst all time version of this tune. jessie plays an amazing solo on beloved infidel. playing is very hot ... todd just simply blew out the pipes the night before in nyc and this is what was left...a unique show and unfortunately for all of us dc area fans. his last stop at the legendary bayou (RIP). thanks tst.

 WEBCAST

12/4/96 TR - NEW ORLEANS , LA HOUSE OF BLUES     CDS WEBCAST SOURCE (EDITED BROADCAST)   50:03/45:02
Track List:CD ONE: HAMMER IN MY HEART. YOUVE GOT TO HIDE YOUR LOVE AWAY. LOVE OF THE COMMON MAN. I DON'T WANT TO TIE YOU DOWN. FAMILY VALUES. TABLES WILL TURN. COMPASSION. SONG OF THE VIKING. IT WOULDN'T HAVE MADE ANY DIFFERENCE. FREE, MALE AND 21.

CD TWO: BLACK AND WHITE. I WANT YOU. CLICHE'. MYSTIFIED/BROKE DOWN AND BUSTED. THE INDIVIDUALIST. ESPRESSO. WORLDWIDE EPIPHANY.
Note: sounds very good as it was probably coverted files from the liveconcerts.com broadcast. a great representation (like a board) of this tour. this was the tour when tr started to dread the piano (some nights good, some bad) but this night he's pretty on. very enjoyable as todd is in a good mood and performs well.

1/3/97 TR - CLEVELAND ODEON 2CDS FM SOURCE WNCX DIGITAL EDIT BY PAUL RUSSO 9/98   72:16/67:16
Track List: CD ONE : INTRO/INTERVIEW. COMPUTER LOVE INTRO. BLACK AND WHITE. HAMMER IN MY HEART. I WANT YOU. CLICHE'. LYSISTRATA. CD-I DEMO. THE INDIVIDUALIST. FAMILY VALUES. CAN WE STILL BE FRIENDS? (ABORTED). TOO FAR GONE. COMPASSION. FREE MALE AND 21.

CD TWO: THERE GOES MY INSPIRATION. DOG STORY. TABLES WILL TURN. WOMAN'S WORLD. CAN WE STILL BE FRIENDS? (COMPLETE). A DREAM GOES ON FOREVER. WORLDWIDE EPIPHANY. THE WHEEL. RADIO ADVERTISEMENT FOR THIS SHOW. BONUS TRACK: 10/25/96 INTERVIEW SAPPORO JAPAN J-WAVE
Note: another great radio broadcast captured by frank. there's some slight overload on todd's mic for most of the show, but it's way better than an audience recording. todd was still doing his I solo stuff and his problems with the piano were almost at a peak here. the aborted version of cwsbf is pretty strange given that he was going out live and he couldn't remember how it went. the rest of the show was not really affected by the blunder but most of us toddheads recognize that this broadcast is one of the reasons why todd has rarely played piano live since this time. the later '97-98 solo tours saw him bring along jesse and rely on keys less and less. nevertheless, this show is a modern classic and it is always a special show when todd plays the rock and roll capitol and the fans really get an inspired performance. he doesn't play keys that bad on the whole and comes back with a perfect version of cwsbf on encore. the dog story tells about his new dog that was eating him literally out of house and home in his first months in hawaii. bonus track is a japanese interview from 9 months earlier.

9/11/97 TR - JERICHO, NY LONG ISLAND BREWING COMPANY 2 CDS FM SOURCE (EDITED BROADCAST)   71:10/64:54
Track List:  CD ONE: HAMMER IN MY HEART. CLICHE'. LYSISTRATA. CD-I DEMO. TABLES WILL TURN. FAMILY VALUES. IT WOULDNT HAVE MADE ANY DIFFERENCE. SONG OF THE VIKING. COMPASSION. MYSTIFIED->BROKE DOWN AND BUSTED. I SAW THE LIGHT*. NEVER NEVER LAND*.

CD TWO: A DREAM GOES ON FOREVER*. I WANT YOU*. BLACK AND WHITE. FREE MALE AND 21. CAN WE STILL BE FRIENDS?. WORLDWIDE EPIPHANY.

BONUS TRACKS FROM 6/3/82 LONDON OLD GREY WHISTLE TEST BBC TV SHOW: LOVE OF THE COMMON MAN. IT WOULDN'T HAVE MADE ANY DIFFERENCE. TOO FAR GONE. CAN WE STILL BE FRIENDS?. COMPASSION. TINY DEMONS. TINE HEALS (VIDEO). ONE WORLD. A DREAM GOES ON FOREVER
Note: mike adrain did an amazing job by not picking up much noise despite the yap and beer mugs clanking. good show-bonus from the infamous OGWT/london. a bubnick special and the best sounds from this short tour. *=w/ JESSE GRESS (guitar). recorded with sony TCD-D8 DAT machine and an ECM-909 microphone - we're talking close to $1,000 of recording equipment here. recording position is the table front and center, seats 1 through 8. this is a great show in front of a small crowd of about 200. the sound is warm and very natural on the acoustic numbers, the best I've heard from this tour from the audience. all around a very good sounding show.

WITH A TWIST

11/26/97 TR - NEW YORK CITY, NY IRVING PLAZA 2 CDS AUDIENCE  SOURCE   68:58/63:10

Note: very solid audience recording in one of the loudest places to pull a good one. not a problem with this one. great sound, great show, and very fun tour.

Note: probably the most mistake free performance tr had on this under-rehearsed tour. revised notes. this is really well recorded in a good-sounding hall. todd plays well this night and everything goes down great. this cd has been upgraded to include some great bonus tracks, especially the classic fully mind-blowing experience of 7/1/99's 23 minute born to synthesize which just about takes things as far onstage, improvisationally,  as todd has ever done. one for the ages. ESSENTIAL!
