...so on Sat., 7/17/4, I was hangin' with guitarist Roger Steen in a hotel bar in Port Washington, WI after the Fishday Festival in which The Tubes opened for Blue Oyster Cult. He suggested that I start a blog to document my times and travels.

NEW KGP Conspiracy tune brought to rehearsal by the ever-amazing Michael Kinney...again!
He's the "Dylan" of the band and has been on a writing streak of late with concisely creative quality nuggets.
A GREAT afternoon watching, and being a part of-albeit briefly, his creative process at Red Carpet Studios.
He came in with the song in his head, showed me the chords-which i attempted to write down, and then layed down an acoustic guitar and vocal. his next step was electric guitar, which we ran through 2 amps-one clean and one distorted.
then he and Travis layed down a rhythm track while i engineered.
i suggested an undertow keyboard line in the bridge WHICH I PLAYED-MY FIRST RECORDED KEYS EVER!!!!!!!!!
then he layed harmonies down. i suggested some sound effects and they were added tewo days later...

Cleartone Strings
Testimonial
I have tried many different strings over the decades of playing and performing (live and in the studio) but have never found something that could bend so well and stay in tune over multiple shows, until i found Cleartone. I never really paid much attention to the brand of strings i used until i discovered these. The way they hold their tone and tuning, even while bending WAY outside the normal realm, continues to amaze me. The durability - whether in a smokey bar, basement studio, outdoors, or a dusty theatre - is astounding! They also seem to last three times as long as other brands i have used! The residue from my hands has destroyed strings in the past but this has not been a problem with Cleartone, and that is something that amazes me.
I have also found that it takes A LOT to break them (and i have tried)!
They also carry great tone from low to high - and that's quite incredible.

THANK YOU for making such a high-quality product and teaching me that string brand can make a HUGE difference.
